Hertzian Pressure - MDesign iPhone App
The app helps in the calculation of two contacting solids and of surface pressure values caused on their multiple point of contact. This program makes its calculations according to the Hertz's theory.
Thereby, you can principally differ between point und linear contacts of solids. So, e.g. If a point contact is presented, if an all-round convex solid is considered. But cylinders have according to this theory an endless length in axial direction, which is understood as linear contact.
